Isolation and fresh-air dampers 

 

NESTEC, Inc. offers our own proven design for process isolation, bakeout and fresh-air dampers.  These dampers are used during start-up of the oxidizer systems and also for continued operation during upset conditions.  The bakeout damper is located upstream of the RTO fan and is used to quench temperatures of the exhaust gases during a bakeout.  Dampers can be provided with electric, pnuematic or hydraulic actuators.    

 

The large damper is an isolation damper with tadpole gasket. The smaller damper is a fresh air damper with metal to metal seat. 

 

This is a bakeout cooldown damper used to quench outlet gases during offline bakeout of an RTO system.
